My favourite among all of Bangkok’s red-light districts. I believe the biggest one as well in Bangkok. This is all you need to know to have great time at Nana Plaza whether you’re just looking to have a chill night drinking alone or with a group of friends, find a companion or have a one night stand.
Located a few minutes walk from the Nana BTS station. It’s a 3-story complex that houses many go-go bars and a few regular bars. I think there is only 1 regular bar right at the center on level 1.
Note that there’s security at the entrance and to enter the place requires a bag and ID check. No outside drinks allowed so you’ll be asked to discard them if you have any before entering.
There’s also security on each floor so it always felt quite re-assuring when I was there safety wise. They’ll be shining their torches on you to call you out if you try to do anything funny like take photos of the place which is not allowed.
Check out Bangkok Go-go Bars if it’s your first time and you want to find out more about go-go bars in Bangkok in general.
There probably tens of go-go bars but here are some of my favourite ones, my go-tos. I am a guy in my late 20s to early 30s. My type when it comes to girls is petite, pretty SYTs mostly in the early to mid twenties. The go-go bars that I’ve found to have the most number of girls to my liking in order is:
- Rainbow 5
- Red Dragon
- Rainbow 4
These all happen to be on Level 2 of Nana Plaza on the right side from the entrance. These places have exclusively ladies working. There are places with exclusively ladyboys and there are probably some that have mixed but I have never been to any one of those, each one that I’ve been only have ladies.
From what I’ve read and seen westerners tend to prefer the go-go bars on level 3 like Butterfly, Geisha etc. There were some girls I liked in Geisha where I bought some lady drinks but it seemed like they were mostly less than interested in me so I’ve never picked any one up from there.
Definitely check them out if you have the time to see which ones you like.
Mandarin and Red Dragon are under the same management I think. One time I was there and at 1am the girls from Mandarin where told to head downstairs to Red Dragon to continue working. The place closed at 2am.
